‘Velour And Velcro’ is the latest track from ambitious, experienced band The Districts. It is taken from their upcoming album, You Know I’m Not Going Anywhere and marks a distinct leap forward in terms of experimentation. Swelling textures, distant pianos and imitative mellotron sounds are just some of the interesting sounds they present. On writing ‘Velour And Velcro’, singer/guitarist Rob Grote explains that it “is about the elusive nature of bliss and how even when you’ve caught it, you know it may be fleeting”.
